HELLO? Anyone still out there??

hahahahhahaha
Although my lack of posting proves otherwise, I AM ALIVE!
I stepped away from the computer since my parents visited this past weekend. They came down for a fun reunion and since my dad was racing in his first ever half marathon!! WOOO!!!! I plan to write up an interview kind of post later this week sometime with the recap/race details, but I will give a spoiler– he finished strong even in the midst of some GNARLY conditions!
But more pics and info on that later
I didn’t have any time to write up a progress post for this week– but everything’s pretty much the same. Feelin great, makin progress, all that schpeel
I DO have a big update regarding training for yall next week though…
BUUUTTTT since I’m yet again slammed with work this week, I thought I’d share some recent pics from life lately.
So, without further ado, here’s a major photo dump!
I’ll be back on Wednesday with the recipe for that cake pictured above! It’s a WINNER!!!!!
Hope you all have a fantastic Monday and week ahead!!
What are your workout essentials? Weirdest thing you’ve seen in a dumpster?

Haha, that’s so funny that you have a racoon living in your apartment’s dumpster! I know what you mean about going out to eat–we rarely go out unless it’s a special occasion! Sometimes it is so great to just sit and have food cooked for you, though!
Amen!!!!
Congrats to your dad for his first half!!! That is such an accomplishment! I’m excited to hear how he liked it!
I’ve never found a raccoon in a dumpster buuuut I have found some crazy stuff on runs before! My team used to find hubcaps, random articles of clothing (always grody!), and loose change. One time I found $1.27 in change and a steak knife. o.0. Coach was always so pleased when we brought him back presents!
That toast topper looks SO AWESOME! Where can I get one?! I hope you’re doing awesome!!
BAHAHAHA that’s hilarious about the knife and random money!!!
Oh and the egg thing! I saw it at Marshall’s, but I bet Walmart or Ross would have them too!
Vibrams are always a leg day essential! Love them! Congrats to your dad for running the half – that’s awesome
Looking forward to your update!
Yay Vibram pal!!!
haha Raccoons freak me out! Congrats to your dad for completing his half marathon that is EPIC!
Vibrams are essential for life and any workout. bahhaha I wear them to work everyday and everyone gives me weird looks and i’m all -You don’t even know-
HAHAHA!!! YESSSS!!! I get that look 24/7 too! If only they knew the bliss their feet would feel haha
I feel like even though you stepped away you were on instagram so we were still hanging out LOL. Congrats to your dad and doing his half. That is a great accomplishment!
So true!! We were together in spirit heehee
I’m glad you were able to spend time with your parents over the weekend. That must have been really nice
. Can’t wait to hear your training update!
Thanks Allie!
Woop! Congrats to your dad on his half! And I LOVE that cake that you made him. You’re just too freakin cute, girl <3 And so is that egg shaper… Omigosh I -want-. The weirdest thing I've found in a dumpster? Hmm. Couches? Mattresses? It actually weirds me out more to find random pieces of clothing laying on the side of the road… like one shoe, or a sock, or a pair of boxers… It's like, was a person being chased or something so that they couldn't stop to pick up their shoe? Were they undressing on the side of the road? Maybe I'm better off not knowing…
Bahahahaha!!!! Random boxers?!?!?! Now that would skeeve me out…I wouldn’t wanna know the story behind that either
apple chips are THE BEST!
and im so jealous that you have vibrams!!!!!!!
Aren’t they?! I can’t get enough of apple chips, they’re just SO good!
Aww! Your dad is so cute in a he-looks-extremely-nervous-but-excited kind of way!
Can’t wait to read the recap! Congrats to him for running his first half!
haha he was kinda nervous, but man was he a trooper!
I hope I can be like that at his age!
You are totally making me need to buy a dehydrator!! I love dried fruit! And that cake is adorable!! I can’t wait for the recipe!
DUDE YOU NEED ONE IN YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!! Best purchase ever (except for the omelette maker thingy haha)
you have YOUR OWN DEHYDRATOR so jealous. like for real. awesome job for your dad, so cool. um scary raccoon. don’t get anything from that creature
DUDE hit up bed bath and beyond, they have CHEAP dehydrators!!
I need to copy you and make some apple chips in my dehydrator stat! Oh and if you’ve never tried making your own kale chips in your dehydrator, doooooo it now and thank me later
They turn out perfectly crispy!
Oooh that’ll be my next experiment!
That egg toast thing is AWESOME! I need that in my life.
I know right?!?! Genius!
Congrats to your dad for finishing strong!! I’m looking forward to that interview!
Oh my goodness, raccoons scare the bejeezus out of me! When I was 12, a raccoon family decided to lay claim to the foundation under our house. We could hear them wrestling around, and they’d always scream at each other (yes–they scream!) in them middle of the night! We had to hire professional raccoon capturers to come get them out, and boy was it nasty. They were hissing like crazy! I used to think they were cute, but not anymore. Oh noooo.
That toast top egg shaper most definitely IS the best invention ever! I need that–especially since I recently found a GF bread that I love! I see lots of perfect egg McMuffin-esque sandwiches in my future.
Hope you’re having a fantastic week so far! xoxo <3
That’s crazy about the racoons under your house!!! That must’ve sounded like a racoon opera with all that screaming haha!
Way to go to your dad- awesome achievement! I need that egg shaper in my life..so fun! My workout essentials are gloves, iPhone (for music), bottle of water and a smidgen of motivation
!
Ooohhh YESSS! Motivation is a must for the gym bag!
Congrats to your Dad on his first half marathon! The cake you made is so adorable, I love the decorating! You have a dehydrator?! I’m totally jealous, I have always wanted to experiment with one!
You HAVE to get one!! Do yall have bed bath and beyond stores in Canada?? They sell them super cheap!
Congrats to your dad on his half marathon! It’s awesome that you have such active parents.
Also those dehydrated apples look so good! I bet homemade ones are so much better than store bought ones. I just saw your comment to Sarah – I’ll have to check out BB&B for a dehydrator because I’ve been wanting one for ages!
Yay!!! It’s the best, you can make SO much with them!
“He hisses..” BAHAH I don’t know WHY that part cracked me up SO bad, but it did. What a legit living space for a raccoon!! SO proud of your dad, congrats to him and yay for the homemade cake! I am further more convinced we will one day be the best of friends and go for walks in our Vibrams..and you can show me how to lift weights haha.
Let’s do it!! We can walk in our Vibrams, eat cake and dance while shooing away coons!
Toast-shaped Egg DEFINITELY genius!!!
I know right?!?!
Hahah — what a friendly neighbor living in the dumpster.
You are so sweet to make your dad a cake to celebrate the half marathon you guys were doing together. What a great daughter you are.
Haha it was quite the surprise seeing him in the trash!!
Can’t wait to discover the recipe of this gorgeous cake, looks soooooooooo yummy!
Why Outbacks’s brocoli taste that good? Are they sauted in some lovely oil and spices? I definitely have to try that restaurant, never been there…
And your homemade dried apples are perfection
Delicious dipped in any nut butter!
There’s just something about the flavor of the broccoli–it just tastes SO fresh!! I LOVE it!! You definitely gotta go
And how on earth could I not have thought to dip dried apple in nut butter!! You are genius!
Ooo, can’t wait to hear this training update! AND GO DAD for running a half–totally worth a giant pile of celebratory cashews. And my workout essentials? Booty shorts. Can’t lift without ‘em. Well, I can, but it wouldn’t be nearly as fun…
Hahahha YESSS!!! When we meet, I’m bringing my best pair and we can rock our booty shorts while dancing with your chickens….deal??
That egg-shaper is pure GENIUS! Please tell me that you bought it and now I can vicariously live through your awesomely shaped eggs?!
I didn’t sadly, I plan to go back and get it though!!! I don’t know what I was thinking passing it up haha!!
That egg toast thing is genius! So cool. Excited for the training update!!:) And that chocolate cake? I’m guessing looks amazing!
Isn’t it genius?!?! I wanted it so bad!
Woo congratulations to your dad! I’m really looking forward to your training update – you always inspire me so much with them
I’m glad you had a great time with your parents and that you had a lovely restaurant meal!
