Saluting a Favorite

(Warning: get ready for a cheesy, funny post. I FINALLY acquired all the flavors of Quest bars, so I thought I’d write up a review: poem style haha)

Oh wonderful Quest bars, how yummy are thee,

words can’t describe my tastebuds’ glee.

I eat you in class, pre workout, on the go,

microwaved, in smoothies, or straight up, yo.

With 20g of protein and a dose of healthy fat,

my energy levels never feel like going “Splat!”

Your spot on flavors make my heart skip a beat,

let’s take a gander at the full Quest fleet!!

The Originals

Peanut Butter and Jelly– When microwaved, it brings back memories of gooey PB&J’s packed by mom that’ve gotten kinda warm sitting in your lunchbox during recess. Be honest, it was pure heaven when the bread was kinda soggy from the nut butter and jelly soaking through. ;)

Vanilla Almond Crunch– Quick! Dig through your wallet and find some spare change, I see the ice cream truck coming!Remember lickin a good-ol plain vanilla ice cream cone on a hot summer day while hearing “do your ears hang low…” resonating from the truck? This bar tastes like that ice cream with chunks of almonds crumbled on top.

Chocolate Brownie– Ever had the Chocolate Molten Lava cake from Chili’s? Or licked a spoon of brownie batter? That’s it, right there.

Apple Pie– Get on your fuzzy Christmas slippers, a big blanket, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream cuz this one is the epitome of the holidays. Can someone say grandma’s homemade pie?

Peanut Butter Supreme– If Mr. Planter’s Peanut married the world’s largest jar of chunky peanut butter, this would be their love child.

Mixed Berry Bliss– When vanilla flavor combines with trail-mix-like chunks of almonds, peanuts and freeze dried strawberries and blueberries, you want to go put on hiking boots and hit the trail.

The All Naturals

Chocolate Peanut Butter– Hide yo kids, hide yo wife, and hide yo Reese’s peanut butter cups because this bar’s gonna blow them away. Very similar in flavor to the Brownie bar, but it goes to the next level with chunks of peanuts and the aroma of freshly ground peanut butter.

Coconut Cashew– Pack your suitcase for a tropical vacation! Buttery, nutty and decadent with chunks of cashew and coconut flakes, this bar makes you want to grab your flip flops for a luxury island trip. Customs may have to search your bag for smuggled deliciousness.

Cinnamon Roll– You know that Cinnabon smell that immediately hits you in the mall or airport? The one that gives you a cavity with one whiff? That right there = this flavor.

Lemon Cream Pie– Someone warn the innocent children across America, this tastes identical to their lemonade stand drinks and will probably give them a run for their money.

Strawberry Cheesecake– Imagine the smell of freshly baked pie crust combined with a slice of Cheesecake Factory goodness. Add in some zing with freeze dried strawberries and you have yourself a bar that tastes too good to be healthy.

As you can see, this is my favorite snack by far,

you’re simply the best, my beloved Quest bar!

don’t mind me…just chillin in the library noshin my face off

What’s your favorite on-the-go snack?

  3. I love quest bars!!!!! So tasty!!!!!!!!! I really liked the coconut one which surprised me because I’m usually hardcore chocolate out peanut butter!!!!! They are expensive where I live 3 bucks a bar… :)

  4. What a great creative post!!! You should hit up Quest for some free bars after all that!!!

I have to say, I think they are only so-so……They aren’t bad but the consistency throws me off a bit.

  5. I just made Daily Garnish’s Date Coconut Balls for on the go and they are delicious – they might be a new fave! I usually like apples, nuts and dried fruits.

  6. I think you’re going to be Quest Bar’s next spokeswoman! Forget marine biology; you’re a talented poet too! LOVE this!! My favorite flavor is by far Coconut Cashew. I’ve heard it’s pretty amazing when topped with coconut butter too ;) I’ve tried most of the natural flavors, but not the Strawberry Cheesecake. I need to track that one down. xoxo <3

  7. Noms! These things are the bomb. Chocolate brownie is and forever will be my favorite ;) However, per you instagram rec I did try the lemon and will say it’s quite tasty! Thanks for the flavor review girl!!!!

  9. Omg, I LOVED this! And if I couldn’t decide what flavor to try first, now I REALLY can’t decide!! I almost want to rip them all open at once and take a little bite from each one! Lol

I hear that microwaving them is the best…any you think are better at room temperature?

    • Haha gurl I love them all too! So tasty :)
Personally, I think they’re all pretty good at room temp, just kinda tough to chew from all that fiber lol Microwaving is the way to go!!

  10. holy quest bars! i’ve only had the chocolate peanut butter and coconut cashew it was okayyy i thought it was a weird texture like grainy and really chewy? but you are stocked to the max girl!

  11. I’m reviewing/trying all of the quest bars now and KNEW I could turn to you to snoop at your review ;) LOVE IT! Just tried the berry bliss today and had the almond crunch a few weeks ago. Still alot to try, though! When did you have them? Did you have them along with anything? How did you have them? Are they all good heated?
