I feel like I start every post this way, but thank you guys SO much for the support and comments on my last post. I appreciate EVERY ONE from the bottom of my heart! Y’all are the greatest friends ever!!
Well, there’s two things on the agenda today.
#1 Swanson. Holy Toledo this site is AMAZING. I honestly think they have everything under the sun when it comes to health products: protein supplements, vitamins, unique food items, you name it. You have to check out all they have to offer…prepare to be floored at their prices too
So when I contacted them about their blogger review program, Ben and the Swanson team were so nice and sent me an online coupon code to do a review on some of their swag. UMM YES PLEASE.
(note– I wasn’t paid by Swanson in any way to say any of the following and received my products free of charge. The review is all my opinion.)
So what did I blow my dough on?? Well it was super hard to decide, but I finally chose Brownie Quest bars. You guys know my love affair with them. I’ve tried almost all the other flavors except for these, so when I saw they carried them, I jumped on it like a gorilla on a pile of bananas!
With my past experience with Quest bars, I’ve found they usually live up to their flavor name.
Strawberry cheesecake? Strawberry cheesecake.
Lemon Cream Pie? Lemon Cream Pie.
Vanilla Almond? Vanilla….with almond.
So as you can see, they’re track record has been pretty dang awesome in my eyes.
These brownie flavored ones? LEGIT. Chocolate brownie doesn’t even begin to describe the awesomeness of this bar. It tastes way to amazing to be good for you.
I tried it numerous ways.
Straight up outta the wrapper.
Nuked in the microwave for 15 seconds (personally my favorite way– the picture was oober boring though haha)
And paired with the best smoothie I’ve ever made…which brings me to part 2 of this post.
Are you ready for a foodgasm?
- 1 large frozen banana cut up in chunks
- 1 cup almond/coconut blend milk
- 1.5 scoops whey protein (I use MGN vanilla)
- spoonful of peanut butter
- handful of ice cubes
Blend all that up, stick it in the freezer for around 30 minutes to get thick and chunky and prepare your tastebuds for a flavor party. It tastes even better when you eat it with a crumbled, warm quest bar!! It’s like a healthified DQ blizzard!
Swanson, thank you SO much for letting me do this review and allowing my love of quest bars to grow exponentially. You guys rock!
Now I’m off to go get ready to run errands, do homework, and relax!
Have you ever heard of Swanson? Favorite smoothie combo?
