Time to celebrate WIAW!
So this is what a typical day looks like during summer semester for me! Soon it’ll be changing since my apartment lease ends on the 15th, so I’ll have to start commuting 45 minutes there and back…poop nuggets. Ahh well, I guess I’ll just have to make a lot of cd’s heehee
Anywho!
4:01am: Alarm screams Mexican accordian music. First thought: PEEEEEEEE.
4:03am: Stuff my groggy face with food
Pre Workout: Handful of almonds and 3/4 cup egg whites with 1 scoop of Superpump Max. I used to lift on an empty stomach, but since I’m trying to increase calories and have more energy during workouts, I’ve slowly begun having a little something beforehand. This combo works so well for me– sits in my stomach well without being too heavy, and gives me energy like none other!
4:40am-6:00am: LIFT!!! Currently doing this routine. I could probably finish faster, but I realllllyyyy take my time with the movements so I can maintain good form. I chug 1.5 scoops of Xtend bcaa’s during this. Once I’m done, I make my post workout shake and stick it in the freezer to get thick and chilly!
6:20ish: Have my vitamin (from Total Nutrition, just dissolves in yo mouth!) and take my Shake/Breakfast out of the freezer: 1.5 scoops MGN whey isolate, medium sweet potato, and an entire Hass avocado aka my latest food obsession. DUDE I LOVE avocados in smoothies! They make them so thick and you can’t even taste them thanks to the vanilla from the whey! ANNDD since I’m trying to bulk up, it’s a great way for me to get in a ton of calories/nutrients without feeling overly stuffed.
6:30am-7:00am: Surf the web, watch Arthur on TV, and enjoy the silence of the morning, then get dressed and brush my teeth.
7:45am: Ride bike over to campus and tame my helmet hair
Milliseconds before 8:00am: stuff my face with noms (I took a pic of this snack before I put it in baggies and left for class…ahh the sacrifices for a good picture haha)

trader joe’s turkey jerky, EPIC homemade paleo bread (RECIPE COMING SOON!!!) and sunflower seed butta that looks like an alien baby
8:00am-10:50am: O-chem lab ewww
11:00-12:30pm: Organic Chem lecture DOUBLE eww
12:30ish: Lunch in the student union, check email on laptop

been loving this combo– grilled chicken, broccoli, and a scramble of 2 whole eggs…with a simba fork ;D
1:00pm: Ride back to my apartment, dodging massive potholes and kookoo-loco, texting sorority girl drivers
1:15-5:00ish: Watch O-Chem lecture podcasts online and take notes, read textbook, work on homework problems, write up pre-labs, blah blah blah
Stop for a quick snack around 3:ooish

baby carrots, almonds, and a microwaved lemon quest bar! dude, when you microwave them, it takes them to a whole new level of awesome ![]()
Resume studying like a psycho.
6:00pm: Watch some TV and have dinn-dinn-dinna!

been having this combo every night this week haha– grilled mahi mahi (from TJ’s!!), carrots, broccolini, and half an avocado
7:00pm-9:00pm: prep lunches/snacks for the next day, pose with avocados, shower and put on jammies, go over notecards, call my parents on the phone to have our nightly recap of the day’s highlights.
9:00pm: Watch some trashy real housewives on Bravo and eat my favorite egg white pre-bed snack. Keepin it classy with tupperware
9:45pm: crash and get ready to do it all over again
~~~~
So yeah, that’s about it– now you know why I’ve been so absent from posting haha
It’s hectic, but I gotta keep telling myself this “summer of hell” will totally be worth it!! I’ll be DONE on August 10th, but I just have 18 more days of classes!
What’s your favorite on-the-go snack? What do you eat before you workout? Best thing you ate today?
Will you please tell me what you put in your avocado smoothies?? I LOVE avocados and eat one a day, but tried to make a smoothie with strawberries.. it just tasted kinda funky..
Sure!! It usually consists of a scoop of vanilla whey protein, 1/2-1 avocado, about 1/2 cup baked sweet potato, some sunflower seed butter, and a splash of almond milk. Sounds SUPER weird, but I promise it’s delicious!
Gets really thick and creamy too!
I loved the consistency when I made it, but sweet potatoes? Really? Eh… I just like them with lots of butter
Oh and a handful of ice too!
